Hi Perry,

I was wondering what is your image art for the MP3's? According to the XML in the RSS, it is located at:

http://tabletpc.thepodcastnetwork.com/wp-admin/coverart_300x300.jpg

However, no image ever comes up. Can you fix this? Thanks!

Perry,

I believe there is some difference in the new Finepoint hardware in the Gateways vs. that in the TC 1000, but I haven't been able to confirm that for sure. I know that the stylus for the 1000 had a user-replaceable battery, where the new Gateways don't.

Hope you enjoy your new toy when it arrives :-)

Wesley, thanks for the info! I actually already purchased a stylus from Circuit City (around $34), but I bet this would be a good item for my birthday wish list...

I didn't realize that the Gateways were using the Finepoint digitizer. That's what my TC1000 uses and the advantage is the hard glass screen, but the disadvantage is that it's not pressure sensitive. A friend of mine at work just picked up a new Gateway, I'll have to see if my HP stylus is compatible.

If you are looking for a stylus for your Toshiba, you need to check out the Cross Executive Pen. It comes in two styles: capped and capless. It's very substantial and feels like a quality pen rather than a 10-for-a-buck Bic. It also has an eraser tip. The only downside is that it won't fit in the pen silo on a Tablet, so it instead has to be stowed in a pocket or gadget bag. Cost is ~$40.

I ordered one from Amazon afterI pre-ordering my Gateway CX200S, only to find that the new Gateways used Finepoint digitizing technology, not Wacom. I returned it without using it, but it sure felt nice in my hand and probably would have worked well.

"Yes, HSDPA is faster, however it is not generally available, at least not anywhere here in the U.S. to my knowledge. "

It's available in the following areas:

I do agree that DualCor is better off not having a cell phone plan as Palm+Verizon+Sprint has done.

Yes, HSDPA is faster, however it is not generally available, at least not anywhere here in the U.S. to my knowledge. And I agree that GSM is more widely used and a GSM-enabled cPC would be more successful worldwide than a CDMA version, however, were I DualCor, I would not wait until such a device was available, tested, and approved by the cell vendors; I would do exactly as they have and release a device without cell connectivity.

The data speeds over Cingular HSDPA is WAY faster that EVDO! Check out the MOTR Podcast at: http://www.mobiletechroundup.com/?p=75. However, it is more expensive.

Also, GSM has 1.8 billion users worldwide (all of Europe is GSM) while CDMA is only kinda big here in the US. Therefore, a DualCor CPC as a GSM phone will have more worldwide success.
